The horse stoppers atop every bottle of Blanton's are a reference to the kinship between bourbon and horse-racing - the twin pillars of Kentucky. There are eight different incarnations, which show the movements of a horse during a race, and also have a letter on each. When all are collected, Blanton's is spelled out. The construction of the famous Warehouse H was overseen by Colonel Blanton. For quickness, they made the warehouse from metal. However, the thin walls created a unique maturation process, which reflected Kentucky’s temperamental weather.
